As with all terracotta cookware, this pot is best recommended for slow cooking and excellent for preparing ragù sauce and meat stews; you may also use it to bring the cooked food directly to the table so that it may be served from the same pot.

Cooking in earthenware makes for light work: the food does not stick to the pot, and you need only use a minimum amount of fat during cooking.

Maintenance is simple: after using the pot, fill it with water. After a few hours, any fat incorporated in the pores during the cooking process will be released; it may then be washed in soapy water and rinsed well.
