 Vulcania is a ceramic manufacturing company that was founded in the hills of Val D’Elsa in 1911. Since then it has produced terracotta cooking pots, which are a symbol of peasant tradition, and today enhanced by the return to nature. The Vulcania fire-proof terracotta earthenware is made from natural materials, and lasts a long time.
Fire-proof resistance is due to the thermal expansion base. And, any fine cracks found on the enamel are absolutely normal, and guarantees that the products are made of raw materials that are "fireclay".
To prevent the terracotta from absorbing any liquid content, the ceramic pots should be immersed in water overnight before using them. After usage, do not store immediately; wash and leave dry in the open air. To avoid breakage, do not expose the pots to any rapid changes in temperature, like putting them in water and then placing on marble or granite stone.
